We can’t imagine what kind of event would spur EA to slash the price on several of its big-name iPhone games — oh, right. Regardless of motive, Touch Arcade informs us of the sale, which extends through tomorrow. Here are some highlights:
The good news: lots of iPhone games are only $1. The bad news: none of those games is Mirror’s Edge (which is still only available for iPad).

If you’re a fan of Nintendo-published games about shooting aliens, prepare for disappointment. Nintendo just announced delays for the North American releases of both Sin & Punishment: Star Successor and Metroid: Other M.
Sin & Punishment has been pushed back from June 7 to June 27 — a brief delay. The Team Ninja/Nintendo Metroid sequel, however, has been bumped more substantially, from June 27 to August 31. We should have known the June date was too good to be true when all Europe got was a vague “Q3″ announcement.

Within the span of nine days, we’ve seen Pokémon Black & White go from being announced to being featured in magazines to, now, appearing in video form on the madness-fueled weekly Japanese show Pokémon Sunday. A Siliconera reader with a penchant for insanityvision (like television, but, ya know, insane) spotted the footage, which has the show’s hosts (and Lucario) gasping and commenting on a brief gameplay clip.
Since our resident Pokéxpert Griffin McElroy is out this weekend, we’re unable to confirm whether the footage matches the levels of excitement displayed by the show’s hosts, but we have to imagine that, somewhere, he just got stood up and cheered without knowing why. See it for yourself after the break.
